I will expect the accommodations and amenities onboard this Pacific Trawlers 40 to delight a cruising couple of any age.
The forward berth is a centerline queen with wing extensions (as photographed) which has comfortably accommodated the current owners, both of whom are quite tall. Each has a large hanging locker with drawers for storage beneath the berth.
Just aft is the raised pilothouse with side-by-side captains chairs installed by one of the previous owners. The helm has the full compliment of navigation equipment as well as a computer that runs Coastal Explorer software. The split doors to port and starboard allow easy access to the bow or up the short ladder on starboard to the fly bridge.
Moving aft and down a couple of steps, the large u-shaped galley is to port. There is lots of counter space and storage, a huge single sink, Princess three burner electric stove/oven and under-counter side-by-side Nova Cool refrigerator and freezer.
The large head with a separate shower, a fresh water, manual head and sink is starboard amidships. This seems especially well thought out when considering its use as a day or guest head.
The salon is full width with loads of light from the large windows. The L-shaped settee converts to a large double berth that has been described as “very comfortable”. A table that raises and lowers as well as folds away is very functional for moving away when the occasional guest stays the night or enjoying meals. To port is a leather chair and 27” HD monitor and Blu-ray disc player with remote to watch movies in the evening. There are pull-down blinds in the salon and screens for all the doors and windows for comfort.
The open transom allows easy boarding and level access to the cockpit and salon areas. The staples are easy to remove for boarding yet impart a sense of safety while in place and underway. These boats have a reputation for being very seaworthy and it is noted that the transom area stays dry even with a relatively vigorous following sea.
The fly bridge helm is shaded by a bimini and has seating for approximately five average adults. The deck holds the 12’ AB RIB (2015) that is easily deployed via the hinged radar mast. Mast was custom rigged by Brion Toss and allows for a reduced air draft, making it convenient to moor undercover. Once the dinghy is deployed the cradle is easily stored and the deck may be transformed into a delightful spot to entertain on a summer evening.
Note: There are a few personal items such as artwork, ditch bag, tools, life jackets, med kit that will be excluded from the sale. A list will be provided and discussed with offers.

Broker's Comments

VIRTUAL TOUR - VIDEO - 80 TO 100 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS PACIFIC TRAWLERS 40! This Pacific Trawlers 40 appears to be in extremely good condition. This is a single-stateroom centerline queen (with wings, to appear as a v-berth) version with a full-beam, well-lit salon, a large u-shaped galley with electric stove/oven and side-by-side under-counter refrigerator and freezer and a very large single sink. She is well equipped for either Pacific Northwest cruising or more temperate climates as she has both diesel heat and reverse cycle heat/air systems. Piloting from either the raised pilothouse or the flybridge is your choice as they both afford excellent visibility.
This PT 40 is powered by a single, mechanically-controlled, commercial-duty 300 hp John Deere diesel engine and a 6kw Northern Lights generator.
The large open transom has staples that remove for extremely easy “step-on” access from either side or the stern. Whether boarding from the dock or the dinghy, you will have level access directly to the salon.
She is currently in covered moorage and has had a recent buff and wax to make her shine.
This PT 40 has cruised to SE Alaska, circumnavigated Vancouver Island and “gunkholed” much of BC. These boats have a strong reputation for their ease of handling and seaworthiness.
Where will she take you?
