This innovative boat design features an incredible amount of interior space for the size of the boat. The owners lived aboard the boat and installed a marine head and cabin heating, upgrades not commonly found on these boats.

Enter through the companionway to the main cabin. Aft is a very large double berth that spans the full beam of the boat. A large Dometic portable refrigerator is installed here. The batteries are located in a hatch below the companionway.

The main salon features very comfortable seating in a drop leaf dinette to starboard and a single seat to port. The forward bulkhead has a large mirror surface which adds to the feeling of space in the cabin. Headroom is over six feet below the cabin, and 7' 9" with the hatch open below the cockpit dodger. Large windows in the cabin let in ample light, and there are several LED light fixtures installed for ample illumination.

The galley is to port with a single sink with manual faucet, a single burner Princess butane stove, hardwood cutting board, and ample storage. The five gallon water tank is in this galley compartment.

Forward from the galley is a single settee berth. Opposite this is the marine toilet compartment with a nine gallon holding tank and deck fitting for pump out.

The forward cabin features a very large double berth with an opening hatch to the foredeck. The interior of the boat is designed with carpeting on the hull sides for comfort and sound absorption. Headroom in the forward cabin is 5' 9".

Broker's Comments

This popular model from MacGregor features an incredible amount of room in a 26 foot hull form. 38,000 of these boats were built, and they are found all over the world.

The owners of this boat have upgraded it for living aboard with the inclusion of a marine head compartment and a high tech Wallas 1300 kerosene forced air cabin heater. The boat is in excellent condition, clean, and with the Coastal Cruising package upgrade from the manufacturer. The Cruising Laminate type performance mainsail and jib are recent upgrades and in like-new condition with full canvas covers for protection. A Mac Stack Pac upgrade for the mainsail makes for ease of hoisting and stowage. An aluminum trailer with disc brakes will allow you to take this boat to your favorite coastal and inland cruising areas.

The Suzuki DF70 70 HP outboard allows for planing speeds of 24 MPH, or you can throttle back and motor with great economy.

MacGregor is not making these excellent, multi-functional 26M model cruising sailboats anymore. Ours is clean, upgraded, and ready to go. If you have been looking for one of these great boats, you will do well to look into this one now.
