Commentaires du Broker
How many of us can ever hope to own and enjoy a military-grade vessel? Yet this remarkable craft is available at a tiny fraction of its replacement value, and won't require a pier at the Navy Base for mooring.
The US Coast Guard built 110 of these self-righting 44 foot motor lifeboats which have served courageously under the most challenging demands of surf, sea, and rescue. The model also provided the basis for the famed Waveney-class of RNLI lifeboats.
This MLB-44 is in exceptional condition, and could easily be returned to official lifeboat or patrol service. But its potential as a seaworthy, fun, recreational vessel shouldn't be underestimated. You and your family couldn't enjoy a safer boat! Roll 360-degrees? No problem (though you wouldn't want to do it just for kicks). Cut through ice up to 6" thick? No problem. Tow heavy loads in high seas? No problem. Stand out in any port? Of course!
With plenty of interior space this boat could be customized into a very comfortable cruising yacht.
The seller stores this vessel on the hard during the winter months and maintains it in top condition. He is motivated to sell, however, and is open to offers!
